Avian Education Associate, Part-time

Education Program Description

Bird Treatment and Learning Center provides conservation education programs to K-12 students and the general public to inspire others to care for Alaska’s wild birds and their habitats. The Education Team includes seven Ambassador Birds: a Snowy Owl, a Great Horned Owl, a Peregrine Falcon, an American Crow, a Black-billed Magpie, and two Bald Eagles. 

Avian Education Associate Position Description

This position utilizes semi-skilled to advanced level work to complete routine husbandry of avian education ambassadors, clean and maintain ambassadors’ enclosure, and assist with education programs. This position is supervised by the Education and Behavior Curator.
